Halloween Fun

Well, Halloween was an official success. Carly and Hayes looked pretty awesome in their animal costumes. Carly was a giraffe and Hayes was a horse. They both had a lot of fun and scored more candy than we care to have at our house....although Melissa and I are doing our best to make sure the candy isn't a temptation for them. Elk Hunt

I was fortunate to take a decent bull elk this hunting season. I've learned it's always a very emotional moment....exhilaration, remorse, and exhaustion are just some of the feelings you go through when you do something like this. But, putting meat in the freezer has always been my main motivation....the antlers are just a bonus!!! Oh yeah...we are trying to add new pics of the little ones as often as we can. Getting Bigger and Having Fun

Hayes just hit the big six month milestone. Hard to believe the little guy is already half a year old. Wow does time fly. Carly is doing a fantastic job in her role as big sister. She really loves the little guy and has been known to be a little protective of him. I'm sure the tides will turn later on....maybe not...who knows!! As always click here for update pics.

Woodland Park Tornado 2007

A tornado formed about three miles northeast of the house today in Woodland Park at about 3:35 PM. I was able to take a couple of pics before I starting flying through the sky. Pretty weird and wild for our neck of the woods.

Sand Dunes 2007

We took a trip to the Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado. Luckily some friends let us borrow their pop-up trailer and that made the trip pretty dang comfortable. We went with some friends of ours, the Stacys. Their daughter Emma is Carly's age. The two of them had a blast. Hayes enjoyed his first camping trip as well and was kind enough to not wake up the campground in the evenings. Click here to see some pics of the trip.

Something's Funny

Hayes has been a smiling machine. He thinks a lot of things are funny. Really just the usual things to a baby! Fart noises, motor boat noises....the norm. I'm not sure who enjoys it more, him or his parents. As always, click here for more updated pictures.

The Joy of Summer!

Summer for the Gatlin family has finally arrived. Jeff had his last day of school on May 24. We are looking forward to some fun family time over the summer. Oh, and by the way, we've added some more pics. Click here to see them.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. The Gatlin family spent Mother's Day weekend in Boulder. Melissa and Carly walked (Carly rode) in a 9K Mother's Day race. I was able to spend some quality time with the little fella. We added some more pics....click here to check them out.

Boy oh Boy!

On March 17,2007 at 9:02 AM we were blessed to welcome Hayes Thomas Gatlin to the world. He was 7.5 lbs and 20.5 inches. He is such a bundle of joy! Click Here to see more pics.

Scuba Birthday

Bill "Papa" Katzer was able to scuba dive at the Denver Aquarium. We were able to watch him swim with the fish, turtles, eels, grouper and SHARKS! He was able to get a message to his only granddaughter, with whom he shares a birthday! Click Here for more pictures from this exciting day!

Carly Over Christmas Break
